Regex Forge 1.3.0 Update

Regex Forge just got better! This update introduces ECMA-262 Validation Mode, making it easier to ensure your regular expressions are fully compatible with JavaScript. Plus, we’ve made a small usability improvement by enabling the multiline regex option by default when creating a new pattern.

What’s New?

ECMA-262 Validation Mode

ECMA-262 is the standard for JavaScript regular expressions, but not all regex features are supported. With ECMA-262 Mode, Regex Forge now detects unsupported syntax and displays warnings in the status bar. This helps you avoid surprises when working with JavaScript-based regex engines.

Multiline Regex Enabled by Default

By popular demand, the multiline regex option is now turned on by default when creating a new pattern. This makes it easier to work with multi-line text without having to adjust settings manually.

Try It Out!

The update is now live on the App Store! If you haven’t already, make sure to update Regex Forge and take advantage of these new features. As always, let us know your feedback!
